Rockhelle Johnson is the principal consultant at RHPR. She’s a public relations veteran with 14 years of experience developing impactful communications strategies and executing them flawlessly for Fortune 500, trade association, government, and nonprofit clients.
She’s a masterful storyteller that infuses creativity into her work to deliver insightful campaigns that have big impact.
Her work encompasses financial services clients in both the public and private sector, including planning and overseeing integrated communications campaign for the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, media training and executive positioning for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, internal communications for Capital One; and media relations for the Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO).
Most recently, Rockhelle managed corporate communications in-house for the financial trade association representing the alternative investments industry where she executed a multi-million-dollar education campaign on behalf of the industry.
Her previous work includes managing communications at the Conference of State Bank Supervisors where she executed strategic communications, executive visibility, and media relations projects on behalf of bank and mortgage regulators.
In addition to financial services, Rockhelle’s industry experience includes nonprofits and foundations, and Agribusiness where she planned and executed a multi-national advocacy campaign on behalf of the company and supported M&A communications.
Rockhelle is a graduate of Florida State University (B.A. in Humanities). She has a Master of Science degree in Journalism from Florida A&M University. Rockhelle is a member of Exchequer Club of Washington, a member of Public Relations Society of America, and a former board member of Women in Housing & Finance.
When she’s not working you can find her out in the community teaching financial literacy, biking nature trails or kayaking in the Tampa Bay area.
